This is me, this is all of us: I leave home thinking today is the day I start to finally understand reality and I end up, upon returning, being glad not understanding it at all. Meanwhile, my POPINS swings on my shoulder. She blooms with lipsticks, keys, cellphones, my notebook and, just like me, changes as the day evolves: from home to the working studio, from the long meeting to the school’s gate – where a beaming child will be running in my direction, showering me with more kisses that I was expecting. And then, again, from home to that restaurant downtown, sailing through the purple night. I change my clothes, I mold my personality to fit the night and my POPINS goes from bag to clutch, journeying next to me until I choose the day to end.
